What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient system of healing that focuses on healing the total person.
This would include body, mind, emotions, and spirit with the use of life force energy, prana or chi. It is done by laying
on of the hands and one person acts as a channel for the life energy to flow through to the other person. The system had been
lost for many years and rediscovered by a Japanese man, Dr. Usui, who searched the ancient writings and found the system buried
in the Indian sutras (precepts summarizing Vedic teaching) written in Sanskrit.
Reiki is a Japanese word that means Universal Life Energy. It is the energy of
life itself and it is this energy that emanates through the hands of the practitioner from one person to another. It helps
to bring the body into harmony by relieving physical and emotional blockages. Reiki heals the cause and eliminates the effects
or symptoms of an imbalance and works well in conjunction with other forms of treatment.
What is a Reiki class?
This is a group of individuals who believe that they are called
to be healers. Reiki methods of healing are taught and the individuals are initiated into one of the four degrees of Reiki.
These students are attuned or experience the healing of the Universal Life Energy and become channels of healing for
others.

Just for today I will not worry.
Just for today I will not be angry.
Just for today I will do my work honestly.
Just for today I will be kind to my neighbor and every living thing.
